Synopsis:
Some of you may remember a really weird film from the late 70's called ERASERHEAD, it was
considered to be one of the weirdest films made, but, there was a charm to it that made you want to try and
figure out what it was saying. eXistinK makes you want to run screaming out of the theatre in absolute
disgust. One of the lead characters says in the film that he feels trapped and needs to get out of there.
Well writer/director Cronenberg tried to tell us in his own not subtle way, that we should leave as
quickly as possible.
eXistinK is absolutely atrocious; it makes Ed Wood films look like masterpieces. I think that the producers
had too much money and they needed a tax lose. Since the Canadian government also put money into this,
abomination, I only want to say that I would really appreciate, my portion of the tax dollars that went into this
abortion of a film, returned to me. I think it is time to really put the binders on David Cronenberg. His films have
been getting worse with each film he has made. The man took to many drugs in his younger years and now the
hallucinations are coming back now. Unfortunately, he is inflicting them on the movie-goer and we have to endure
his nightmares.
Anyone who knows me, knows that I love movies and I really try hard to find something good about any film. Well,
I can honestly say that some good will come out this film. It will add something to the landfills when it is cut in
half. A smell perhaps? I t may also make people realize that Cronenberg is making fun of us by saying," look with
public money I can make any piece of SHIT and the people will like it because I am a national treasure."
Well big guy...like all great treasures...IT IS TIME TO BURY YOU.
It will be a great shame that some people will go to see this film thinking that it just couldn't possibly be this bad.
Well folks get your money back within the first 20 minutes because it doesn't get any better the longer you wait. I
forced myself to watch it so I could write this review, if not I would have run out screaming. Do not,
I repeat, do not even bother to see it on video.
It will probably be rated C for crap.
