Sci Fi Adventure
Synopsis: This is the movie version of the popular computer game of the same name. No Mark Hamill is not in this film.

Wing Commander, from 2Oth Century Fox makes a great TV movie of the week. It is photographed with lots of large head shots and nothing that would offend any television censor. Like I said the perfect television movie. It could make a decent TV series for at least one season. Right up front here folks, Space Above And Beyond did it way better...waaaaayyy better. I did not dislike the movie, it was okay. It will look good at a drive-in and is a film that parents can safely take the kids to see. The acting was less than extraordinary...so-so. Jurgen Prochnow, Tcheky Karyo were the only good ones.

Freddie Prinze Jr. is the young hero who is entrusted with a encoded message to deliver. The welfare and survival of the Earth depends on him. He joins with Maniac, Matthew Lillard(you'll remember him from "Scream"), and their beautiful superior officer, Deveraux to fight off and defend the Earth against the vicious, bloodthirsty alien race, the Kilrathi. It was a shame that they were poor rubber masks with very limited range. The Kilrathi were portrayed as anything but vicious. Like I said they could not get graphic because it is obvious this was made to end up on television.

When important characters were killed they tried to make us feel sad for them...it failed. I REALLY HAD A HARD TIME CARING. Alright, I've got nothing more to say except if you're a fan spend the money if not don't bother. Ah, but here is the catch!!!
Sources say that when this film is released it will be accompanied by the new 5 minute Star Wars preview. If that happens then I can say that this film will do okay at the box office.
