Science Fiction
Supernova chronicles the search and rescue patrol of a medical ship in deep space.

Why is it in most sci-fi films where a ship full of hardworking stiffs go out to rescue someone end up dead. Here you are doing your job; you rescue some poor shmuck who ends up being some kind of creature and what happens to you...you get killed and of course only two people always seem to survive. I know, you're going to say that in Alien only Sigourney weaver survived...WRONG...the cat survived. See that makes it two. Doesn't seem fair does it?
SUPERNOVA has some excellent effects that will dazzle you. The story on the other hand just seems to lack that oomph it needs to make it great sci-fi. SUPERNOVA is filled with excellent actors...Angela Bassett, James Spader and Lou Diamond Phillips just to name a few. The story is a simple rescue mission where the wrong guy is brought on board. He quickly shows his real colours and bodies begin to pile up. Nothing more, nothing less. Please note that there is some nudity. This one will do okay in the video market.
