Neil Jordan the director of THE CRYING GAME has created an excellent thriller. The film is very
suspenseful but brutual. After Annette Bening loses her daughter she becomes somehow connected to a serial killer,
by her dreams. The dreams slowly begin to drive her insane in the eyes of everyone. No one believes that she is seeing
throught the eyes of Robert Downey Jr.. It becomes a game as the killer realizes he can see through her eyes as
well. The back story on the killer is interesting in itself and when everything is brought together it leads to many
deaths and a surprise ending that is not a cop out.
This is the type of film that to say to much about will take away the surprises that make this film. Annette Bening plays the everyday woman/housewife beautifully and she makes it seem so real. I don't want to give away any of the ending, but trust me, the scares and thrills are there. It should scare you silly as well. I am surprised this movie did not get a break in the theatres but the video release will help make this film. It is well worth seeing; your money will not be wasted.
