| VINCE'S MOVIE REVIEWS | Action-Drama Synopsis: The Corruptor is a well written action-packed drama about two NYPD cops who learn first-hand how power and influence can compromise and corrupt the most well intentioned people. . If you like an excellently and tightly written action packed movie with lots of realitic gun play and car chases then this film is made just for you. The story of Nick Chen played by the gifted actor Chow Yun-Fat unfolds into a tapestry of deciet and corruption. Chen is the first Chinese born immigrant on the New York police force. He has used his connection to the Chinese Tongs to rise throught he ranks while trying to help and keep the peace in a beseiged China Town. Chen and his unit are given a new recruit to asisst them in China Town. Mark Wahlberg(Boogie Nights well hung stud) is an idealistic cop who is not ready for the power plays that are the everyday business of China Town. This film has plenty of twists, turns and betrayals to keep you on the edge of your seats. It has an incredible car chase sequence with a nail biting ending that will definitely keep you awake. As I have already said the plot in this film is very tight and you will get a story for your money and not just gun fights and car chases. If you are a fan of action cop pictures then do not miss seeing THE CORRUPTOR. The only thing that I did not like was that I knew where the plot had to go and what the outcome had to be. I was secretly hoping that they would throw in one last twist to the plot to psych me out. They did not unfortunately so it was shame to that... What you expected me to tell you the ending. Pshaw, spent the money and see it for yourself.
