Supernatural Thriller Not many movies actually catch me off guard like THE SIXTH SENSE did. I must say that this film is well written and paced and it deserves all the accolades and money that it is making. It is a chilling film that should not be missed. This chilling supernatural/psychological thriller follows a respected but tormented Dr. Malcolm Crowe, played by Bruce Willis, as he tries to learn the dark secret that haunts a young 8 year old named Cole Sear played beautifully by Haley Joel Osment. He eventually confesses his secret that he can see the dead all around him. He is terrified by them and does not understand why they go to him. Dr. Crowe must figure out why, if he is to save this young boy's sanity. The truth is something shocking and unexpected for both of them. Make sure that you do not give away the ending to this film . To do so would be unfair to those who haven't seen it...let them find out themselves so that the ending will be much more satisfying. I must admit that I have seen the ending before in other movies and books, so it is not really original. The ending, though, is unexpected so it seems fresh and original. I know that my wife and I jumped a few times during the movie and since that doesn't happen often to an old movie goer like myself, that is saying something. Since it came out at the same time as THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT there is bound to be comparisons. Really, though, there is no comparison, as I found THE SIXTH SENSE to be the superiour movie. Do not wait for the video on this one, catch it in a theatre soon. ![]() ![]() | |||||
