On July 24, 1998, director Steven Spielberg once again returned to the big screen with an epic that won praise
all over the world. The film was called 'Saving Private Ryan.' It stunned audiences and left a haunting mark especially
during its first 25 minutes of D-Day. It was not only called 'the most realistic war film ever made' but has become the
highest grossing film of the year domestically and second highest worldwide and counting.

It has been over five months since it opened in North America. The film has received 11 Academy Award nominations
and has won many critics and other awards including 'Best Picture' & 'Best Director' at the 'Goldbe Globe.' The film
and the director are now heading towards the 'Academy Awards' and is the only film this year that has set its place in
two major categories (Best Director, Best Picture) at the Oscars this year.
