DR. OTTO AND THE RIDDLE OF THE MOONBEAM
Comic Fantasy
Jim Varney, riding on the success of his "Ernest" commercials, stars as the arch-villain Dr. Otto Von Schnick-ick- ick, a fifteen fingered insane genius out to destroy the world's economy. I n this surrealistic film Varney plays many of the other characters as well. In this bizarre, campy comedy, Ernest P. Worrell grows a hand out of the top of his head and decides that he has to destroy the world. This one weird film but funny. It can be considered the first Ernest movie because he made this after the commercials and before he really started the Ernest movies. You can't describe this as the first Ernest movie because it's not part of the Ernest-movie genre. DR. OTTO is a wickedly weird comic masterpiece that will have you laughing out loud, so if it plays somewhere (it's never played in Canada) see it or try to find the video if it is available in your area.
