InfoGlobe Communications completes acquisition of Global Web Services.

Since the beginning, Global Web Services Metrocity.com has had an excellent service availability record, owing to the diligent expert services of the firm we selected in 1998 to maintain and operate our underlying technical infrastructure; that firm was InfoGlobe Communications.  After nearly 13 years in the website hosting and services business, we decided to seek a buyer for this division, to allow us to focus on our creative design business.  The logical choice was InfoGlobe, the firm that helped us become the reliable hosting service that you know we've been for nearly 13 years.  We are pleased to announce that the transition is complete as of January 1, 2011.

We made sure that above all, our customers’ interests were at the forefront of the acquisition.  Here is what you can expect going forward with InfoGlobe:

  • All customers will be billed with InfoGlobe starting Jan 1, 2011.  Most customers did not receive a bill for November nor December of 2010; consider this our Holiday gift to you.
  • You will still enjoy the same great service and reliability you’ve come to expect.
  • Your websites, email addresses and server names will remain unchanged.
  • Please continue to use the same support telephone number and email address that you always have.
  • Any services you have pre-paid will be happily provided as agreed by InfoGlobe.
  • InfoGlobe is honouring all exsiting rates and contracts.
